At long last, we visited The Long Track Pantry for lunch on our way home to Ballarat. We have been going to visit for sometime, and are so pleased we made the detour off the Hume highway. It was a very chilly July day, but the restaurant was buzzing and we had not made a booking. We were fortunate enough to get a table in the annexe, which was near the the fire. Very pleasant indeed. The food was delicious. Good hearty Country fare with a twist.Service was excellent, and staff efficient and friendly.I can highly recommend a visit if you are heading up or down the Hume.
Hubby, 10 month old and I visited this cafe for breakfast enroute to Melbourne. We arrived before it opened and saw a number of people already waiting. The cafe was nice and warm, rustic charm with soft lighting. Service was excellent with coffees coming out hot and delicious. I ordered poached eggs with lamb chipolatas served with their chutney - food was simple and tasty. If you're traveling past you won't be disappointed.
Such a great treat just off the Hume hwy. obviously there's some people with some idea about style and food living n or around this tiny little town. Highly recommend stopping for breakfast coffee or a quick shop! Service was lovely and food and coffee were fan-****-tastic! :-)
Believe the 'excellent' review numbers, this place is an off the highway diamond. Had a very good breakfast. Will definitely come again & recommend to friends & family.
