Brian Wendy’s Hiawatha

First tried calling in an order for take-out but was told they weren't accepting phone orders at the time due to being too busy, but suspect it's more due to callers not paying for and picking up their orders. Was told we had to place the order in-person. So went in. Crowded on Friday night for Friday fish fry. Lots of roughnecks and locals, felt like a three-legged bird walking into the place, but everyone was nice. Atmosphere is a dive bar. Service was slow, overwhelmedand understaffed; get the impression that the kitchen is trying to operate over capacity. Food was okay.

Cajun catfish is always a hit! Pizzas and burgers are amazing as well! New blue gill plates are also delicious! Homemade comfort food is often a special. Homemade soups. Highly recommend for delicious food and friendly staff.

Tried the pizza last night, very disappointed, crust was mostly raw in the middle, edges were burnt, very very thin, hardly any toppings, no taste really, we've had better store bought pizzas. The burgers looked fantastic, I guess we should have had those instead.

Great Catfish Baby red potatoes! No fishy taste in the catfish! Definitely coming back soon !!OMG just had the BLT Seafood chowder,. Soooo good!! 3-18-2022

We LOVE visiting Brian and Wendy's Hiawatha! Everything from the beef from their own farm to the amazing owners, hands down our favorite place! Tonight was grandma's lasagna recipe, simply amazing. Wendy special made us a pizza for a take home meal that will sure hit the spot one night after work. Talk about going above and beyond for their guests. Small Town gem for sure!
