They had 4 varieties and I had the one called Brahda’s Moco and damn it was good! I definitely will be back for that again but also looking forward to trying their other menu items as well!
This place had the most amazing Mahi Mahi! It is reasonably priced and super simple. Way better than more expensive restaurants. The service was great personable but non-intrusive. The only drawback was that the atmosphere was kind of industrial and strip mallish, which it is in. But did I mention the food is amazing!
Got the Moco Loco- iconic Hawaiian dish- for take out. I found it to be not bad! The gravy was very salty, especially when eaten with the hamburger patty. I enjoyed the meal but it wasn't anything special. The restaurant was pretty empty when I went during lunch time on a Friday. Definitely family owned and local. Overall, it was decent but not enough to bring me back.
Instagram: KonaFoodieJ's Fish Grill Kona restaurant has great dishes, including Poke bowls and seafood. They are locally owned and operated and they have a lot of love in their food. During our visit, we tried the Mahi Mahi dish. You can find the restaurant nestled between the KTA grocery store and Jamba Juice in Kailua-Kona. The staff is friendly and the food is excellent.
I don 't do a lot of post but this place is AWESOME! First meal arriving on the island after a 6 hour flight and our plane had to do a Go-around due to strong wind and J 's fish and grill did not disappoint. The lemon garlic butter Mahi was cooked perfectly. We 've had fish and chips at other places and they are all batter and small piece of fish. J 's fish and chips are dense with just enough batter. Just plain 'ONO '. To top it off, the staff was nice, she 's very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. Mahalo Nui Loa! .
