Kona Inn - Kailua-Kona

We really enjoyed our meal at this restaurant. The calamari was cooked to perfection, and the sauce complemented it beautifully. The fresh fish was outstanding as well. The live bands provided great entertainment. The chocolate mud cake was large enough to serve three people and made for a wonderful way to end the meal. As always, the setting for watching the sunset is one of the best around. Our waiter did an excellent job, ensuring that the food arrived promptly. We will definitely return!

The restaurant was nearly empty at 7:00 PM on Saturday, yet all the diners were crammed into one small section, which made no sense at all. The staff was limited but efficient, doing their best under the circumstances. The fish and chips consisted of three tiny pieces, weighing no more than 4 ounces. While they had a great flavor, the portion size was disappointing for the price. After spending 28, I left still feeling hungry.

We love this restaurant. it is a beautiful old Hawaii look and feel. eating is delicious and not on drinks.

I’ve been going to Kona Inn for 40 years! Great drinks great staff great food great dessert and by far the most beautiful view!!

The setting is great. I loved where they placed our table for 12 — a little off to the side so it felt like a semi private room; but still with open views and part of the ambience of the restaurant. Service was impeccable. The Kona Inn was a real treat for us, couldn’t have asked for anything better.
