I always tell people that our friend who lives in the Karben area is the best cook in Germany. Her cooking is better than that of almost all of the many restaurants at which we eaten over the fifteen years I have been visiting Germany. But: Deutches Haus is the one and only restaurant that equals our friend's cooking (only equals your cooking, Marlies, but does not surpass).Deutches Haus is more expensive than the average restaurant, but the food is so delicious that I have to consider it an excellent value anyway. This last visit I had the pork medallions in mushroom sauce on noodles. The pork was very tender and flavorful; the mushroom sauce was better than sex; and the homemade noodles were the perfect accompaniment. This restaurant is a favorite with locals and is usually busy, so reservations are a good idea.

Very friendly and nice service. The food was cruel. An onion carving.... Cooked onions a sauce that has tasted absolutely nothing. The scavengers have not looked freshly panned and have not tasted so. The salad..... Dressing sweetly over iceberg salad tipped. Tasteless. It's really a pity because the location could actually give something, but you can't get gastronomic. Maybe we just had bad luck, but we were there some time ago and that wasn't better of why we thought a second chance. Service: Dine in Price per person: €10–20 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
