Contribuisci feedbackGreat atmosphere and divine food during Christmas Eve (I greatly appreciated NO kitsch Christmas decorations in the entire establishment whatsoever! Not one star, snowflake, Santa, flashing led lights or an over the top decorated Christmas tree anywhere in sight! How refreshing when all this stuff is attacking you on every step since November 1st every year! . Great menu (refined salmon tartare, amazingly tender veal, heavenly pistachio dessert and delightfully earthy Italian Malbec . Fairly good service, but staff could've been more attentive (my empty glass of wine remained unnoticed for quite a long time during eating my main course, and I am a wine lover, so that was somewhat disappointing. But the always-smiling, wine- and menu-knowledgeable waitress made up for it in abundance! : . Also when I mentioned I wished to pay my bill with my credit card I was sent to the front of the restaurant to the main bar. Didn't quite understand why a waiter cannot bring the card machine to my table like everywhere else. Bresto still deserves 5 stars, though. Loved the food, cosy modern interior, the cool dimmed lighting and overall friendly feel of the place. Definitely highly recommended!
Chjo possibly summed up my impression of Brest. I don't want to go into too much detail, so hopefully this will work out. The arrival at the restaurant was fine, although it was unpleasant to walk through a smoky entrance, but okay, that's a minor detail. After being seated, I felt a sense of confusion and bad mood in the restaurant. We were served by two people taking turns, which I really didn't expect... The waitress, who was obviously helping a colleague who didn't need it in my opinion, was not in a good mood and when I asked what langoustine was, I felt stupid for not knowing: When I pay 500 CZK for a fish dish, excellent, but fish, I don't want to deal with details, I want to enjoy it. But the food here is really good, I must say, the young waiter recommended us wine, so he's really good at that!! That's why I don't give a completely bad rating overall! What still surprises me in the Czech Republic is that I go out to dinner with two people, pay 2000 CZK and yet the restaurant charges 25 CZK for a cover charge! WHY!? I really don't understand this, so I would rather pay 5 CZK more for the food and not force bread and oil on anyone's bill, and if I do charge for it, I ask the guest if they want it. Honestly, I was a little offended by this, I left around 2200 CZK with a tip in the restaurant and I'm paying 25 CZK for bread... I'll definitely give you another chance, but I won't rush. When I compare this to Pot au Feu, where I really enjoy it and the prices are similar, it's incomparable. There, no one charges me a cover charge, they even give me some amuse-bouche and pamper me nicely for that money.
A slightly hidden/unsuspecting restaurant with a very pleasant atmosphere and excellent food. The scallops for starters were delicious, the main course of ravioli with spinach and ricotta was fantastic (made in butter, lots of butter, which I love!), and the dessert of vanilla panna cotta was a great way to end the meal. If you're craving Italian cuisine, you'll be satisfied here.
We stopped by for lunch menu and we were not disappointed. The variety of dishes is impressive and everyone will find something to their liking. Our veal with spinach potatoes was amazing, and as far as I could tell, none of the surrounding tables left anything on their plate. In addition to the great food, I also appreciate the fantastic ambiance and friendly staff. It's just a shame that the sign of this exceptional restaurant is almost unnoticeable.
Vinný restaurant BRESTO. Praha 1. Štěpánská 31. Květnová rodinná oslava, dvanáct osob u stolu. Velmi příjemné prostředí, skvělý průvodce malou slavností číšník Davide, vynikající jídla, šampaňské i vína pro náš den. Polévky, chřestové dobroty, tatáráčky telecí i krevetové... Masa vepřová z Přeštic, kuřecí Bio Prso supreme, ryby... Těstoviny i bramborová hruštička... Prosciutto di San Daniele Skvělý olivový olej, jenž nešlo následně nekoupit domů.. A nakonec lahodné sladké tečky... Velké poděkování šéfkuchaři Lucovi. Radost. Radost. Radost. DOPORUČUJI.... Jiří
