The food was great, the staff very friendly, and we felt very welcome there. They also have great desserts. I recommend a visit, we felt at home there. We will happily return soon.
I occasionally stop by this restaurant for a coffee to go. They serve Nespresso, which is always a treat. It's usually busy, which to me is a good indication that it's a decent place.
My visit to NK was accompanied by several pleasant surprises. Although I frequent Národní třída often, I didn't pay much attention to the café before. The coffee selection is standard and prices are comparable to other cafes. However, the cappuccino tasted more like a latte. The jasmine tea was excellent and the soup was a pleasant surprise as well. The prices of the food are very affordable for everyone. The seating is very cozy, in the style of old times from the period of the First Republic. The best part was the performance by the pianist! It's just a shame that I was the only one applauding after his impressive playing. As the only one clapping, I received a grateful nod. The text on the wall by journalist F. Peroutka and the menu listing almost all the famous authors who visited the café back then, including Čapek, are also interesting features.
I had a sumptuous meal here. We were craving for authentic east European flavors and this place did not disappoint us. The decor is to represent comfort with just the right amount of color and light.
Escolhemos este local para uma última refeição na cidade de praga. Adorei decoração vintage e a música ambiente, o atendimento também impecável. Pediu-se um cheeseburguer e um naco de bife grelhado com batata a murro.
