Perfect place! Very cosy, friendly atmosphere! Food delicious! I took salad with beef and it was perfect! My husband took spinach soup he loved it. Have menu in different languages , so it's perfect for tourists! Recommend it!
Cozy cellar restaurant near Republic Square with friendly service. We tried the three-course menu and some dishes were excellent, while others were slightly less impressive, but overall we were satisfied. In terms of the food itself, the homemade lard cracklings were outstanding, the mozzarella with tomatoes should have been complemented with olives, which were unfortunately missing from the dish. The traditional Czech game pate was good, but I think you can buy something similar in almost any store, nothing extraordinary. Maybe some toasts or homemade bread would have been a nice addition to it, instead of just plain bread that we received with the lard. I also had meat rolls with roasted potatoes (which were more fried than roasted, but unfortunately many restaurants do it this way nowadays), but the meat was well-seasoned and cooked. The second menu was wild boar slices with mushroom sauce, which was a bit bitter. The desserts of hot raspberries with ice cream and homemade strudel with vanilla sauce were very good. Overall, I would say it was above average.
I have been going to the U Sádlů restaurant for over 10 years. Always satisfied, I can only recommend it. Very nice interior, large portions, the service has greatly improved, deserving only praise in today's times. I really like the restaurant, although I have a few things that could be improved. 1. Especially in the summer months, the restaurant would deserve better air conditioning. 2. Paper towels would be more appropriate in the bathrooms instead of hand dryers, as the dryers are a bit noisy and useless. 3. Handkerchiefs could be on the tables, not just with the service. 4. And most importantly, instead of Budweiser, you could have Pilsner, then everything would be perfect and a clear 5 stars. PS: When I recommend you to someone, they are apparently put off by your website, I have to convince them that the quality of the restaurant far exceeds the appearance of the website.
The atmosphere is very nice and they have a great selection of dishes. I had the steak with mushroom sauce and rosemary potatoes, and it was excellent. The service was very friendly. For anyone looking to have a good meal and relax in a pleasant environment, I highly recommend it.
