I had the palowa, which was not only delicious, but quite openly an artwork. my man had the sticky date with Macadamia nuts and caramel that was from this world! that is what they would normally find in a 5-star restaurant in the usa. the inhabitants of katanning and surroundings are so happy to have this jewel of a restaurant in this warm and welcoming community environment. many thanks for the experience and wonderful eating and hospitality.
Julie and her personal chef prepared a delicious meal and served it with warm smiles. The lamb shanks were cooked perfectly. Don't forget to finish with the sticky date pudding or pavlova, they were fantastic! Bring your own drinks.
For the first time in a year to family dinner with the rellies back to the saleyards. the menu was great with many interesting choices, plus the usual favorites of a fry and steaks. I have the fish and chips with house. cut quid, and it was delicious. crumbs, tasty fish, tender tinten fish, fresh herb and salat. the chips were perhaps an oily touch, they had to drop only one moment or two more before serving. but the kitchen was flat, and they were still beautifully salted and crispy. the children had the entree 'burger flavored' jump roll for their pornstar. what really tasted like hamburger. but the four of them for $12 was much more than the 9 and 7 years old could eat. in retrospect, I would have just ordered a single plate for them to share. it would have been an ugly escape if an adult would eat a main dish. the garlic steak of my wife was beautifully finished and tender. I provide the saleyards when they are in katanning on Tuesday evening for dinner (or Wednesday morning for breakfast.)
Tuesday evening, Wednesday morning special in the huge sheep sales places. good eating, massive help in an unusual environment.
The food is always great at the saleyards. The service is great too. We love going out for a family dinner here or dinner with friends. Good atmosphere.
