Domino's Katherine - KATHERINE SOUTH

Dominoes should cancel this franchise. Garlic prawn on thin and crispy crust. Totally soggy soft crust with too much cheese floating through the box. I doubt I will ever risk eating a dominoes pizza again.

I have eaten from katherine dominos on very rare occasions before and generally they are ok. Not amazing but there is not much else in katherine to choose from. So as katherine doesn't accept vouchers you ask what is the he best prise they have going at the moment as they don't volunteer daily deals. So after a hectic week and no desire left to deal with cooking and dishes we ordered the 2 pizzas and garlic bread and coke. Figured bit of extra charge for a chicken pizza I can deal with that but when the order went from 29.95- $36(something) admittedly I asked why. Surely chicken isn't an extra $6/$7 and without hesitation a little sign was pointed to regarding a 10% surcharge for Sunday's to pay staff better. So figured what the heck either way we didn't wanna go home and cook and admittedly they tasted ok. Nothing fancy but we were starving so anything would have been great. But not even 2 hrs later I started feeling queasy and didn't think much of it probably just we hadn't had pizza in ages maybe just ate to much or something wasn't quiet agreeing with it. But alarm bells rang when (mr cast iron stomach) hubby, said he was starting to feel rough. So without to many details that started a night fighting for the bathroom and lack of sleep only to get up for work ( not wake up, as we weren't able to sleep) early hrs Monday morning only to both have to came home from work as nothing was staying in at all. I understand bad luck but for one of the only few places in town that want to get away with an excuse to pay staff more money they should really pay attention to every bit of hygiene. This should not happen when good management is on top of the situation. Hubby and I have both travelled and eaten some dodger food from some even dodgier place and never once have felt this horrible. Step it up Katherine dominos! I'm not the first to realise the lack of hygiene I was just the first to write about it!

This Domino's is like all the others except you have to pay at least 10$ to get pizza. So no bargains at this joint. They do delivery, which is quite convenient. You can even sit outside and eat your pizza. If you want a pizza in Katherine thats probably your best bet.

I've travelled all over Australia and eaten loads of Domino's pizzas and until I came to Katherine last year, Mackay used to have the best. This little Domino's shop kind of hidden away on Victoria Highway has by far the best pizzas. I usually get delivery and they are always prompt....friendly and the quality and taste of their pizzas are awesome. My favourite......double bacon cheeseburger with hollandaise sauce instead of mayo and on thin and crispy base. Mmmmmmmm

The pizza is okay - typical Dominos. The reason for the low score is that they don't honor any of the advertised pizza deals so it makes for a very expensive meal. I understand that they have to pay a bit more for their ingredients to be delivered but it's still a franchise. If the TV or internet is advertising a particular deal, it should be honored. You'd think that being a franchise the cost of food should be the same for all restaurants.
