The black pepper chicken is delicious and their egg fried rice is top-notch. The prices are reasonable and the service is relatively fast. This restaurant is a hidden gem!
We ordered takeaway from this restaurant and got 1 order of roasted fries, 1 sweet and sour pork, 1 corn soup, and 1 black pepper beef. The total cost was $60, which seemed quite pricey compared to other places in the university student area where we usually dine. The black pepper beef, which cost $23, was disappointing and not worth the price. The portion was small and the quality was poor. We felt like we could have gotten better value by getting 2 eye fillets instead. The sweet and sour pork had a nice sauce, but the meat was overcooked and tough. The portion sizes were also smaller than expected. Overall, we were not satisfied with our meal and probably won't be returning. As a side note, one of the fortune cookies we received had a positive message, but it didn't quite make up for the mediocre experience we had.
After a solid morning looking for new food to interest the dog, check out some paintings in the Royal Queensland Artists Society interesting work of an Ms Tainton, worth review and Scandinavian furniture at Vinyl Frontier (both on Petrie Terrace), not to mention, dig students...hold from a well expensive original CCR vinyl album in good Nick, I have it was lunch time, so I put it on the 50th informal place, Content, I went home to feed the dog, and play my new (old) CCR album that I did with the doors that are open for the afternoon breeze on a sunny afternoon, not to mistake the neighbors with my music taste. Good food, pleasant and nice staff.
The food was delicious and fresh and the staff was very welcoming and offered a great service. I would definitely visit again!
