Nice restaurant located within the intercontinental hotel that caters to Travellers and visitors alike. Had lunch and dinner and the food was pretty good. Restaurant has a lot of bubbly and helpful staff who catered to our every needs even providing out of menu food just to satisfy us. Service: Dine in

Update December 28, 2022. I am extremely disappointed that the amazing seafood pasta is no longer on the menu! I had a long layover at OR Tambo Airport and came into the Intercontinental hotel for lunch, at the Quills restaurant. I appreciate the staff not rushing me to leave. The food beautifully presented and very delicious. The staff is warm and attentive.

Quills is a great place to hang out before a flight and beats eating at the airport or the overcrowded lounges. Good food (salmon is excellent) friendly staff, good selection of well priced wines, plenty of space for luggage/carry ons. And after your meal you can move to the couches to wait for your flight it’s maybe 100m to airport security. Makes travelling so much more bearable! A most excellent restaurant! More often than not, the restaurants in brand name hotels just don 't get it done. Quills is an exception. We stayed at the hotel several times, and the food and service was always great. We were always greeted enthusiastically and well taken care of. Note: Better make a reservation for the evening meal. If not, they will do their best to squeeze you in, but no guarantees. The ox tail lasagna should not be missed. Likewise the crusted ostrich loin.
