I had heard great things about their steak and cheese sandwich, which is a favorite of mine that I have tried at many places. Unfortunately, the main issue was that the rolls on both of the $13 subs were not fully toasted. They felt soggy, steamed, and lackluster. I had to toast them in the oven to make them more palatable. The steak and vegetables inside were tasty, but the overall experience was hindered by the roll issue. Despite this, I still gave them a generous 4-star rating and will give them another try as it may have just been an isolated problem. The service was good and quick, and the staff seemed very organized with a clean kitchen.
Love the new Mediterranean option! I got it in a bowl and it was fabulous. Plan it for online and super efficient, simple and punctual!
Great sandwich, but they don't melt the cheese on the tuna melt for some reason. Large sandwich with fresh ingredients. The bread was roasted... also. this is so convenient when you go to the beach. You can eat with a beautiful view of the sea.
At the first visit of Bennett and it is definitely one of the best steak sandwiches I had. I had the famous Steak Sub of the Bennett. I'm sure all locals know about this place, so I'll say if you stop visiting the area. The visit is worth it.
During my honeymoon in Kennebunk, I decided to stop by this restaurant on a whim and now I'm at a loss for what to do. It's been a month and I can't stop thinking about the tuna sandwich I had there. It was just perfect. The bread was soft and delicious, the tuna portion was generous, and the tomato and lettuce were crisp and fresh. There was nothing extraordinary about the sandwich itself, but when all the elements came together, it was simply the best sandwich I've ever had. Now that I'm back in Brooklyn, I've tried to recreate the experience at different delis and bagel shops, but none of them compare. The tuna sandwich at Bennett's holds a special place in my memory that I can't seem to replicate. I'm torn between being upset that I can't find a comparable sandwich elsewhere, or grateful for the wonderful experience I had at Bennett's. Dine here at your own risk.
