The fish fingers and potato wedges were lovely. The chicken drumsticks and greens were good. The Sweetcorn were overcooked and yucky. The pepperoni on the pizza were bland (my 8 year old daughter said they should have been spicier). The garlic bread had no garlic flavour
We went for a family lunch. The food prices and portion sizes were ridiculous. £7.50 for a small portion and £13.50 for a large portion of chicken cooked with peppers. My small portion consist of half a boneless chicken thigh yes half!!?? a couple of strips of peppers and nothing else. You can see the trained staff trying to portion control it was ridiculous. Side cooked cabbage was an extra £4.00. £11.50 for a chicken strip and chopped cabbage. Very poor value
Divided up into various subjects ie Space, Medicine, Home , engineering a wealth of information to view. Something for everyone. IMAX theatre to be recommend to view a film on Antarctica . Will definitely be returning.
For a science-orientated museum, the in-house eateries offer a very poor selection of food and drink for those with (very common! dietary restrictions such as gluten. It said to ask a staff member for advice if you had allergies, which I did, and was met with a perplexed look, after which I was offered cabbage or chips. I like cabbage but it didn't really work alone or with chips, so I opted for the chips. They were cold and rubbery. Perhaps some scientific innovation could be applied to the menu and how to keep food hot.
