I eat here at least once a week as the office is close. it's a little expensive. I've never tried a falafel packaging as tasteful as these. I would recommend that they have a loyalty scheme for the locals who often come as it is just a bit overpriced. my only other thing is that they get rid of the really beautiful red pfeffer sauce. please bring it back!
Falafal king’s falafal should die. it is a small square in the middle of the portobello road. they do not have much seat area and do not even have options in their menu. you can either have a falafal box or falafal in a peta brot. both the box and the brot tastes brilliant and its one of a kind. the drinks are also great. it is one of the few places where I got fresh limonade instead of filled. her freshly squeezed orange juice is a must. everything is done before them and very hygienic. it is a full meal in very nominal price. it is a must to visit when they are a vegetarian.
It is a restaurant with a single day and they know what they do. Although there are many other options on the portebello road, but this has its own uniqueness. all they serve is humble and falafel, but as the name says, they are the king in this. Only the right beats and falafels are cooked after the order, so they can imagine the fresh. delicious is the word. there are some tables outside to sit and eat, but I prefer a take. the lady who prepares the order is very friendly with a smile enjoying her work. will be back soon.
Falafel King is not a place i would visit every day as its located quite from where I stay, however, being in Notting Hill and being a huge fan of Lebanese cuisine, i could not resist the temptation of a crispy crunchy falafel wrap with a side of hummus and bread. The menu is not extensive by any means, in fact its literally 2 items. You can either order a plain falafel, or a hummus and falafel wrap...that's it. So this would be my only criticism, but besides that the falafel and hummus wrap was extremely delicious and very traditional in terms of its flavour!
