We got a table without reservation. the waitress who took care of us was an absolute doll. she was so friendly and so attentive! we started with a French woof soup that was beautiful. I had the pheasant I've never had, and it was surprisingly pretty nice. I found it dry, but the aromen were there! my partner had the lamb and it was cooked to perfection. very enjoyed this place!
Visited mai 2013 the concept is a good idea a very cozy place with rustic decor. service very attentive and friendly. good house wine. I can't say that I was impressed by the food. my crabsalatstarter was not better than the willing to buy something from a super market. the main liver with speck and wobble was not seasoned at all and the speck was hard as a sole. I'm not going back to eat.
Was here for quick lunch and it was only average. had broken the woof and the apple. very special deco though. probably I expected too much with so many positive reviews. the suppe was not as tasty as I expected it to be, apple crumb was simply normal that they could get anywhere.
We’ve been on a bit of a doggy loving trip ever since we discovered Outsider Tart. So last weekend we decided to do some more exploration, and chanced upon Maggie Jones, in Kensington. Tucked away, just off the high street, it’s very easy to miss. But it’s been around for over 40 years I hear, so all the locals probably already know about it!
