Pho Luu - Kent

The food is great and the customer service is even better! Every time I come in I'm always greeted with a warm hello and welcome. The food is no slouch either, the chefs do a great job with how they prepare and cook their dishes and I've enjoyed every dish I've had so far!

I've ordered pho, sandwiches, noodle bowls, rice dishes many times, my most recent order was brisket pho beef yakisoba. I was eating the pho thought the cook must have accidently dropped the salt shaker in the soup. It was so salty to be inedible. I took a bite of the yakisoba it was extremely salty too. Did they change cooks? What happened? Not willing to take another chance by ordering here.

I ordered pho through Uber Eats. After waiting for 15 minutes, the app notified me that my food was ready, so I went to pick it up. However, it wasn’t ready. I ended up waiting an additional 20 minutes in the restaurant. The food was just okay—not great.

I also noticed that some guests seemed offended when they weren’t warmly welcomed at closing time, but it’s important to understand that the staff has to clean the entire restaurant, not just your table. Overall, my first visit was a wonderful experience, and I can't wait to return!

As soon as I stepped inside, I was greeted by a spacious dining area that was clean, well-maintained, and full of light. A friendly gentleman—perhaps the owner—welcomed me warmly. I already had my mind set on Pho, so that’s what I ordered. As I waited for my meal, I sensed this place was going to deliver something special just by the cool ambiance. And let me tell you, it was phenomenal! As a lifelong Portland resident who has indulged in many fantastic Pho spots in my hometown, I can confidently say that Pho Luu is exceptional. The broth was served piping hot—clear, light, and bursting with flavor. The meat was cooked to perfection, simmering in the broth as it arrived at my table. I was truly savoring a moment I had long yearned for during a year of quarantine: pure bliss. It was so good that I felt compelled to write an extensive review. I encourage you to treat yourself to a bowl and explore any of the other incredible dishes they offer. This place deserves a more prominent sign—it's truly a hidden gem! It would also be an excellent choice for large groups. And don't miss out on their fantastic teriyaki! The prices are reasonable for the authentic flavors and inviting decor.
