We were in Maui for 8 days and every night we ended up back at Dina's for cocktails and wonderful service. I will never forget the people I met there and the wonderful time I had. If you go, please try the pasta salad and ask the bartender for an FMH. You won't be disappointed.
Fabulous small bar and sandwich shop, friendly staff with wonderful food, especially the club house sandwiches and pasta salad. Try a triple milkshake (once). Reasonable prices with happy hour being just what one needs after a hot day at the beach or the golf course. Local musicians frequent often, what a treat. Santa Claus visits often too. Located at Sugar Beach Resort, North Kehie.
I hate to give bad reviews, but I would want to know, so we thought we’d leave one. We heard great things about this place and are staying close by, so we ordered food to go. None of our food was cooked properly or tasted right. Our wings were ice cold (the server recommended microwaving it for a few minutes and then cooking it in a pan when we called), the French dip had hard wrinkly bread like it was microwaved, and the Rueben was okay. The server was kind and apologized, but the owner sounded upset that we wanted a refund and asked if we brought all the food back (which we did except for the wings because they were already thrown away). We noticed the rest of the patrons were there just having drinks perhaps that’s what’s best here? The environment had a fun vibe with dollars all over the walls.
I'm gonna get in trouble for this. Although I'm not sure if the principles in this arrangement are even still alive. I was invited by coworkers to a place I could never tell anyone about. This is our little secret. For thirty years I kept that promise,, more or less. I would of course continue to patronize Dina's Sandwich exposing dates and golf buddies to our little secret. The fortune of dollar bills decorating the walls indicated a few loose lips. Dina's is a happy hour spot for whenever your gang is happiest. The menu is chock full of pub sandwich legends. I can't swear to it but I don't think it's ever changed local tip, get the saimin. Dina's is very much a Kihei thing. When Henry's, another legendary Kihei bar, closed for the lasti time it was Dina's where several of the bartenders found employment. Stick with the legends in Kihei, you can't go wrong. Wheelchair accessibility: It's barely wheelchair accessible. I myself am recently bound to a wheelchair. But I must go. If you have a game companion that can run a little interference for you by all means experience the place.
