Matt The Millers - Kilkenny

Matt the Millers was on our list of dinner choices and we got there around 6:30pm just before the dinner rush. The restaurant was also a bar and has three levels. It seemed like the top floor held the kitchen and dining for large parties. The bottom basement floor was just a bar, and the main floor has about 15 tables of 2-4 with 2 bars. Although it was pretty big, it filled up quickly. We got an appetizer platter to share, a cocktail, and tried a few whiskeys because this bar is known for being a pretty good whiskey bar. The food and drinks were pretty good and as we ate, we had a front row seat to people watch all the other tourists coming in looking for a place to eat. Some folks were willing to wait at the bar, while others were simply turned away. They had a few servers but it certainly felt busier than what they were expecting. Once again in Kilkenny, the staff was very nice to us

Friendly staff. Great food. Nice view from windows.

Food was ok, dessert was amazing fish was only ok, now I wish I'd ordered the steak. Service staff were without fault. Music was a nice added touch.

Matt's Clonakilty Chicken. Delicious, that's all I can say...

Beef stew was amazing, quite big portions and one of the best. Definitely worth a visit.
