Pigman's -b-que - KILL DEVIL HILLS

I was on vacation out of town when my dad attended a local rotary club meeting this morning, where he met one of the owners, Top. Top kindly invited us to try Pigman’s for lunch, and since we love BBQ, we couldn’t pass it up! The food was DELICIOUS. My wife and I ordered the pulled pork boat, which included generous pulled pork sandwiches, fries, hush puppies, and a small serving of coleslaw for just $10.99. What a great value for all the food we received! My dad had the turkey boat and my mom chose the tuna boat, both of which were also very tasty. They offer five different sauces: regular, hot, two sweeter options, and a special sauce. If we find ourselves back in the OBX in the future, we will definitely visit Pigman’s again!

The service at this restaurant was prompt and friendly. The fries were excellent, and I personally loved the hush puppies, although my husband wasn’t as fond of them. The sauce station had a nice touch, but I found the pulled pork to be a bit dry, and the turkey barbecue sandwich had more sauce than I would have preferred. Overall, it was suitable for a quick lunch, but we had higher expectations based on previous reviews.

I visited on a Monday night at 5:30, and the restaurant was quite busy. I was with a group of seven, and our order was quite extensive. Despite this, the staff remained very friendly. Our food came out quickly, and it was delicious. The pork BBQ and hush puppies were outstanding, while the shrimp and ribs were also enjoyable. We dined outside on the tented patio on a warm evening and had a great experience overall.

Excellent Ribs!!! They were meaty and tender. 4 molasses based sauces and 1 mustard based. The potato salad and hush puppies were very good. Quick service, order at the counter and they bring it to you. Definitely worth a visit.

What a great, family owned BBQ joint!! We walked in with 15 people and Richard welcomed us and hooked us up!! We picked across the menu and everything was great!! The side of Mac N Cheese and the Pork n Beans were the best I 've ever had!! And don 't forgetto get some cornbread too! And don 't forget to milk the pig for one of their BBQ sauces!! Thanks Richard for the friendlyhospitality!! We 'll see you on our next trip to OBX!!
