Waffle Cabin - KILLINGTON

Wow, what a fantastic experience at Jay Peak! The waffle was absolutely delicious.

The smell of fresh waffles after shredding slopes just invites you to try one of these bad boys, the waffles here at the Waffle Cabin are really good, I could honestly eat a dozen without any regrets.

Not only are the waffles amazing, but the owner took care of his customers! There was a misunderstanding with my 12-year-old son and an employee. I made the owner aware and not only did he do something nice for my son, he wrote his wonderful letter that encouraged his actions!! Thank you.

Having traveled to numerous resorts in the USA and Canada, I have yet to find a place with a Waffle Cabin, let alone THE Waffle Cabin, which was located right on the ski slopes. I still dream about those waffles so much that I ended up buying an imported industrial waffle maker (a mere $1500, from Heikes) and sourcing sugar pearls from Belgium. Now that I live in Denver, I’ve noticed that despite all the wonderful resorts in Colorado, only Crested Butte has a Waffle Cabin. I see a great franchise opportunity here—more Waffle Cabins in Colorado, please! When I visited in Killington, VT, the Waffle Cabin was a small brown building nestled halfway down the slope, where they prepare the waffles right in front of you. Their sole focus is on waffles. Honestly, I’m not typically a waffle person, but these are unlike any I’ve ever tasted. They are absolutely divine, with a crispy, caramelized sugar glaze (like hard candy) on the outside, and hot and soft on the inside, often served with chocolate dipping sauce. I went back three times in one day to get another one—they were just that incredible! Pair a waffle with a cup of coffee or hot apple cider, and you’ll have all the energy you need to tackle the slopes. Forget the calories—just indulge and enjoy! And if you’re lucky, maybe you can share a little with your friends.
