Visited lick’d at the weekend while down in kilmore for a day with my sister and had the nicest ice cream ever. The different varieties of ice cream was super and the professionalism and respect to Covid guidelines were brilliant. We were in a que and due to the fantastic system in place we only waited for about 3 mins. Very fast. I couldn’t speak highly enough about this ice cream shop and the staff were very nice and friendly. The only downside is due to its size and quick ordering system you don’t get much time to decide and choose from the ice cream Parlor but that shows the great system in place. SO TOP TIP: know you’re order.
A MUST if you are in Kilmore Quay. Ice cream is outstanding. It leaves the usual whipped ice cream far behind. There is a great selection of ice creams, sorbets and frozen yoghurts. I particularly enjoyed the rum and raisin. Made several pilgrimages during my recent stay.
Asked when we arrived if the whipped ice cream was watered down, and was told no, it was really good as it was an expensive machine (Angelitos)...not true it had no substance and was poor quality. Another place nearby has the same machine and the ice cream is gorgeous, so something is definitely wrong here!
Wonderful spot to relax and watch the world go by. Located just across the road from the Quay. Wonderful to see a local business doing well in challenging times. Very different in terms of the choices on the menu. The costs seem a little bit on the expensive side but the ice cream is wonderful and worth the price. We had three different options which were all wonderful: Cookie Crush Eaton Mess Lemon Meringue A little taste of heaven. If you enjoy ice cream then Lick’d is the place for you.
