I would not recommend ordering the scallop dish, as it seemed to be a lump of inedible dough with overcooked fish. It is disappointing to see such a poor display in such a promising location.
I have eaten too late, bad choice. burger, oh we don't use the grill anymore. coffee, no machine is out. that was a busy afternoon, the parking lot was full. Many people are there and that's what they say. no wonder that business fails!
Very slow service without communication, they would benefit from giving customers an approximate waiting time, it took 59 min for a broken sausage and Med chips
Try to order over their website, but it crashed. they called four times before they finally answered the phone. I ordered a few crumb fish and was told they didn't have any crumb fish at all. ordered some grilled fish and was said they would simply be sold out....Live the only seafood they had available was broken. this was about 5.45 in the middle of the week it was without a peak period. (I have learned to order early from this place because it is closed early, but even this strategy does not work anymore. the broken fish was polluted at one end and burned. the chips were good. a takeaway offers two dinge eating and convenientity and this business do not very well. I really hope that the new owners will fix this place because I want to support the locals, but I'm so sick of mülldienst.
This is my local so have a bit of experience here. The chips are good and well priced for generous servings. Hot chips are just the best thing to eat on the beach! The prices are reasonable considering the stellar location. Service is quick and...usually friendly. Fish is not always cooked well, not always as fresh as it could be, but it's random. I agree with the reviewer who mentioned the grilled fish, not seasoned or cooked well. Potato cakes pretty darn average, especially since they are practically the state dish in Tassie how can you get them wrong? Scallops with either raw batter inside or totally dried out. I've sometimes not been able to eat what I've ordered, except for the chips of course. Reportedly burgers are good. The reason for the two stars is, well, c'mon guys, think about the community a bit. Closing time is way too early in season, and they turn off the fryers 20 mins before they are supposed to close. So many beautiful hot Summer evenings finds tens of families down at the beach clamouring for fish and chips, but nope, they close regardless. I don't get it, wouldn't you stay open and make a few extra hundred for the day? Like who has dinner at 5pm? It's like they don't care or want the money. I will still keep going because they are there, but there's a lot of room for improvement.
