The Silly Yak - Kingston

I ordered a birthday cake and picked him up. The lady who just finished decorating the cake had no mask. She served me and never gave it up. I'm not one for confrontation, so I didn't say anything other than... I kept my distance. To work in a bakery, I assume you'd wear a mask while you work on my food. It gets a 2 star because the cake was very delicious, but I am very disappointed in their Kovid protocols

This restaurant is a must-visit spot for those on a gluten-free diet. Located just 8 minutes from downtown Kingston, Ontario, it is worth the trip.

The Silly Yak is known for serving the most delicious gluten-free and dairy-free chocolate cakes. We visited multiple times just for the cakes, and our guests raved about them. Even those who don't follow a gluten-free diet preferred the Silly Yak cakes over the regular ones. While the food selection is decent, it's the bakery that truly sets this place apart.

If I hadn't left Kingston, I would still be a regular at this restaurant. The butter cakes are incredible, and the owner is incredibly kind and helpful. When I moved to the city, he suggested gluten-free restaurants for me, as well as recommended some delicious snacks for my father. I lived in Kingston for a year and returned many times because of the amazing food and hospitality. The bread is the best I've ever had, the sandwiches are delicious, and all the baked goods are to die for. Thank you for making my Celiac disease more bearable with a year of delicious treats. I will definitely visit again when I am back in Kingston.

A great little gluten free bakery and store. I was fortunate enough to get a loaf of fresh bread from the oven. I normally don't love gluten free bread however it was very tasty. I have already recommended this place to friends.
