We stopped by this cafe for the first time on a Saturday afternoon, feeling a bit hungry. I was looking forward to trying their tapas, particularly the meatballs, but unfortunately they were not available. We ended up ordering a panini and a fish finger sandwich, which were delicious. The service was very friendly and the prices were reasonable at this charming little cafe. However, we found the menu to be quite limited during our visit, which was disappointing.
I was disappointed with the quality of the fish fingers, which were the cheapest option on the menu. The bread was also not fresh or fluffy. Despite the lovely setting, the experience was not great. With better ingredients, this place could be a popular spot for simple sandwiches. Overall, I found it very disappointing.
Called in last nite (5/3/2016) with friends had the tapas ...really enjoyed it good food nice friendly staff and would def call again.
My husband and I have been to The Brief a couple of times before and what a lovely little tapas resturant...great atmosphere and awesome, reasonibly priced food. With this in mind we thought it would be a safe bet to take our friends for a special occasion and what a disappointment. The service was poor and slow, there were two girls cooking/serving and the four of us, noone else. There was only one type of beer and things missing off the menu. From walking in it just seemed like they were waiting for us to leave they never asked us if we wanted desserts or more drinks, we had to ask every time. Won't be rushing back, what a shame!
