The meals are generous portions and are filling, hearty and tasting. We've tried various breakfast dishes, sausage rolls and a variety of the cakes and pastries. Sausage rolls are very good, and I'd highly recommend these. Breakfasts are good, but technique on cooking certain items (eggs in particular) is a bit hit and miss. The cakes and pastries are generally enjoyable.Atmosphere/service: The cafe is a really interesting, quirky space with lots to look at. It's popular with older people and families, so be prepared for lots of children. It does have a separate lounge area, where alcohol is served, if you want to sit away from the kids. It has both indoor and outdoor seating, and is typically busy and lively. Tables can often be reserved and you may struggle to get a walk-in at peak times, although people don't tend to stay too long so the waits aren't so bad. The cafe doesn't offer full table service, and doesn't seem to zone waitresses, so service can feel a bit disjointed, especially when they are busy, but it's generally prompt. Would I recommend it: Yes. It's a real highlight in this area. The menu offers something for everyone with light bites and meals to satisfy the largest of appetites. It always has a really nice atmosphere, with friends catching up, or families out with their young children. There'a a few things they could polish and tighten up, but just keep reminding yourself that this is a garden centre cafe, and not a restaurant, and you'll have a really pleasant experience.
I visited this place after morning school run with a girlfriend so I wasn't expecting it to be packed but to my surprise, the place is already full-up.We quickly got seated and given just enough time to soak up the atmosphere. Food was great and I can't help but notice there is also a bar area. One wouldn't expect this from a garden centre. Will not hesitate to visit this again.
Met friends for lunch and discovered a gem! Excellent choices in the menu including many healthy choices that suited me. Good access for wheelchairs, walkers and scooters up a ramp and barrier free into the restaurant - was appreciated. I could park my little yellow luggie scooter in a corner. I chose the open focaccia with avocado, smoked salmon, red onion, capers, lemon and salad. I loved the coffee cups with 'Coffee is my life' written on the side. But unfortunately the coffee itself was only ordinary. After a good lunch and chat it was a wonderful walk around the nursery afterwards with a few plants purchased.
Came here for lunch while buying plants and the place was packed. Took some time to make an order and then quite a while for it to arrive.I have an iced chocolate and chicken schnitzel panini. The panini was 16.50$ and came with salad apparently. The panini had the schnitzel and a tiny bit of spinach? and some cheese but that was it. It was okay but nothing special. The iced chocolate had a lot of chocolate! Yay but it was thick and powdery, not so good. They also mixed up our orders and gave us one with skim milk and cream and the other with full cream milk and no cream on top. Which makes little logical sense as to why anyone would order that but oh well. It was a big glass so that was nice.I think I'd rather go somewhere cheaper in future.
I had a lovely lunch at Gardenworld cafe yesterday with friends. Having booked a table, we were seated inside in the air-conditioned cafe on a very hot day and found it to be very comfortable. I would certainly recommend booking a table as we saw a number of people unable to get a table inside. There is a wide range of meals on the menu, ranging from snacks to main meal size and we all enjoyed our meals. It was also very pleasant to be able to have a champagne to celebrate being together. We will certainly return to Gardenworld for a catch-up lunch and will recommend it to others.
