Thin crust, wood-fired oven pizza with a perfect crust (organic flour) and superb sauce made with San Marzano tomatoes. We ordered three pizzas for a Saturday dinner at home and everyone loved them. The margherita was excellent with its fresh basil on top; the Canadian got top marks from our diners, and the Chicken Pesto was very tasty. Its cartelized onions were a welcome taste surprise. We'll be back...very soon! And we'll be signing up for bagel and bread making lessons too.
I have had the 8"? personalized pizza. The pizza is made to order, so you always get a fresh pie.The size is enough to fill you without stuffing you. It might be too small to share unless you are buying for two children or diet conscious people. The dough is delicious. I like the pizzas that have caramelized onions and the honey garlic. I normally do not care for sweet flavours, but it works nicely with the dough and the tomato sauce. The spicy pizza is also good. I have only had sausage, pepperoni and meat pizzas, so I cannot comment on chicken or veggie pizzas. What I can say is that the cooking and flavours are always consistent, which is good quality control. The pizzas are light and are more of an old world, thin crust style than the awful deep-dish, thick crust. So if you like that stuff, you won't get that at Breadheads. There is also a soup of the day too. It is $5.00 for a small and $7.00 if you add their multigrain bread (it is the size of panini). The soup had nice flavour and tasted homemade. I liked the bread, but it is slice and butter is slathered all over it. Far too much butter. That is the only negative I had to say as I really could not appreciate the bread since my mouth was coated with butter. I was not asked if I wanted it buttered, so I think that's one thing that they can improve upon. There is a good selection of cider and beer.I have never waited any more than 5 minutes, so the service is efficient. There have been some comments about rudeness. I don't agree with those, but I do find that the owners are a bit aloof or reserved, and that might come across as snooty to some, but not to me. After 3-4 visits, there is more of a smile and interaction, but still a bit reserved. I think that is more of a function of trying to get your meal ready for you promptly than being unfriendly. I appreciate this as I go during lunch and need to get in and out. There is a small eating area that could probably seat 14 to 20 people, but I always get my pizza to go.Prices range from 10-11, with taxes included. For a quality product, it is reasonable, but perhaps throwing in a complimentary bottle of water or a small side salad would make the cost look more affordable.
Tried their pizza from their food truck at Harvest Picnic Festival and it was incredible. Amazing flavor and delicious. So good grabbing another at the end of the night for sure!
Wonderful fresh bread and pizza, muffins and baked goods to eat in and or take home. All fresh and prepared right there as you wait
Pizza prices are inflated for festivals. Woman gave me a dirty look when getting some paper towel for my wife. Snotty.
