Dinner was particularly enjoyable, featuring a romantic atmosphere. The portions were generous, and the service was excellent. Nick was our server for dinner; he was very friendly and provided prompt service. He was knowledgeable about the dishes and described each item as he brought it to our table. I highly recommend the ahi bruschetta appetizer—it’s the best bruschetta I've ever had! Every dish was perfectly prepared. Among the photos you’ll see are lobster Benedict, avocado toast, loco moco, filet mignon, nut-crusted Mahi, ahi bruschetta, and a smoked old fashioned. We can't wait to return for more!
Food has a good attention to detail and service is decent. I really liked the bread. The file mignon is good and delicate. The red Salzburger is very good, but I would turn off the lobster for foie gras because the sauce is exaggerated and, together with the surprisingly good taste of the pine apple, the lobster lacked the taste or even texture to mix well with the rest of the burger. The truffle barrels are too oily. The Hamachi sashimi is fresh and the Hokkaido Scallop is delicious. Overall, it is a rather innovative restaurant that is better than many of the similarly expensive restaurants around poipu. The service is decent, but definitely not four seasons level.
We had higher expectations for this restaurant. The location is decent, but the service was average for a high-priced establishment. The menu offerings were limited, and the overall quality was fair. The poke was enjoyable, but the main courses fell well short of our expectations, especially at $50 each. Our total dinner bill exceeded $230, and that was with just two glasses of wine. The lobster was tasty, but the rice was overcooked and not the right type—it should have been Arborio rice instead of Asian rice, resulting in a mushy, sticky texture.
I was really looking forward to visiting this restaurant, but I ended up feeling quite disappointed. The waiter seemed confused about the vegan and gluten-free options. When my sister asked if the cauliflower steak was vegan, he wasn't sure, so he went to check with the kitchen. It became clear that the staff wasn't entirely knowledgeable about food allergies, which is concerning. For $36, her vegetables were served raw. I ordered sushi, and for $29, I expected something impressive, but it was mediocre and quite ordinary. We had sushi at a third of the price the day before that was much more delicious. My friend ordered a salad because he was unsure what was gluten-free, and he received a plate of arugula with just three pieces of tomato for $22. The only highlight was the Mojito, which I enjoyed. Overall, this place is overpriced for the basic meals they offer, and I won’t be returning the next time I’m in Kauai.
Our Experience here was wonderful! The best I ever had! Dustin was our waiter, and he was amazing! I did get engaged here on Valentine's Day. And did out right with the beach as the background, it was a dream come true and the staff here made it stress-free for me.
