Here’s the pattern: take order, help the cook get existing line of orders ready, take next order, help cook…but while I waited in line I found all 7 lucha libre action figures hidden around and won a sticker!Burritos are great. The elote was clearly out of a can. My partner didn’t like it, unfortunately.Hint: Order ahead via text. Right now the sign says to order by 10:45am for lunch or 4:45 for dinner.
Thankfully food came out hot and was good. Waited 15 minutes in line to order (only 1 person ahead of us) and 35 minutes to get food. So if you need quick prolly not the place.
Best meal on our trip! We love tacos and these were fantastic. The bowls were excellent, service quick, quesadillas were especially delicious.Kid-friendliness: Great options for kids
I eat tacos in Los Angeles all the time and most taco places get a generic prepared meat. I was very impressed with Taco Libre’s tacos. I had the mahi fish taco and pastor. They were both delicious. The homemade habanero salsa was delicious as well. It’s crazy how coming all the way from Cali to Kauai, I would find an authentic Mexican place who uses pasted on recipes from their ancestors. Thank you for giving me a taste of grandma’s home cooking!
Holy how this place impressed me. I’m Mexican American and grew up around good Mexican food my whole life. I lived in Mexico and in San Diego so I’m pretty snobby when it comes to good Mexican food. But wow it was all so good. The meat was perfectly seasoned and juicy. The rice and beans were flavorful. The fries were also seasoned and fried to perfection. They also had good salsas. We got the carne asada burrito and beef carene asada fries. Last meal before flying back home. Also the service was fantastic. The cashier was so sweet and super cute. I want to be best friends with her.
