This place was recommended to by some locals as a great place to give fırın kebabı a try. The meat is incredibly tender. The only issue with this is that Fırın kebabı isn't really all that good. The main thing that people brag about when they talk about Fırın kebabı is how pure it is, as in they add nothing to it. Personally, that seems like a bad thing. Meat should be spiced, and a little more complexity would be welcome. But this being a traditional dish, you've got to stick to tradition and this restaurant is a great place to give this traditional dish a try. Prices for this dish are steep everywhere, so be warned.
Tasty food, good service. Try not to get Turkish coffee. Terrible.

Was getting an overnight Train from Konya and wanted somewhere to sample typical local food…this place popped up and it was the best decision we made that day!! Tender Lamb, with bread, salad and an assortment of garnishes…they’ve been cooking the lamb this way here since 1907!! Really traditional place with a traditional oven as you enter and a charming tardís like restaurant downstairs with quick and friendly service and great value too!
