Arts Cafe Langkawi - Kuah

A highly recommended place for great coffee and variety of food choices when in Langkawi! Thank you Belinda, the owner for the kind hospitality too. Loving the desserts.

Food portion is huge, some pricing higher and some affordable, the dessert is quite affordable The apple crumble pie only 10! And big portion. But then it taste nothing… even the apple don't have a slight hint of apple? The aglio olio pasta feel like using fresh pasta but the texture feel over cook and the pickle olive and chili not bring out the flavor of aglio olio… very mild flavor… the chicken come with the pasta is dried. The creamy chicken mushroom and potato rosti serving is huge! The flavour is good. The chciken is here is juicy and tender. The potato rosti is huge too but too thick and the pan fried is bit over, too black and not bring the good maillard flavour and texture, rather black and bitter… Arts on display, but many deco not compliment the cafe…

Cafe is looking good and it has a nice feeling. But. It’s a way too overpriced and you have to wait too long to get your drinks or food. Plus their mango juice isn’t a juice but a smoothie. So it includes milk or something so non-dairy drinkers beware. I also ordered nachos and they sure looks nice. Impossible to eat by hands though and the taste was so bland. Not spices or salt, just smashed tomatoes and cheese. Also two ice coffees costs rm36 and that’s too much. Not worth the visit.

I think this cafe is a bit overrated. The food is just normal. It was afternoon when we visit the cafe. The cafe is so hot although aircond is available. The hot air can blow inside the cafe because the cafe use air curtain to trap the aircond inside but the air curtain is not functioning. We are sweating while sitting inside. No doubts, the drawings inside the cafe is awesome. Appreciate if owner can fixed the air curtain.

Been here twice a week for the last few weeks for breakfast, lunch and dinner and have always enjoyed the meals. Price is higher than other options but the quality and size servings makes it worthwhile.
