Kula Lodge Restaurant

We went there for Christmas dinner. and had the duck special. IT WAS A HUGH DISAPPOINTMENT. The duck was red raw served with mashed potatoes and 1 1/2 rock hard brussell sprouts (slightly grilled but no seasoning or sauce). Soup was good, bread ok. Price was $36. Will not go back.

No seats in the open for dinner and no pizzas in the crafts. we wish we had already met. the service was excellent, but the lodge is outdated and expired. incredible outlook at sunset, but not the hour drive from wailea to dinner worth.

We were in one of the chalets of lodge and enjoyed an evening meal and an breakfast in the restaurant. the sunset view cannot be beaten, and the live music was nice. cozy, rustic ambiente with a beautiful fire in the kamin. the food was good, well prepared, not very adventurous, but tasty we had the kokos garnelen appetizer, a filet mignon entree, a pasta dish, a bottle of local maui wein, a child mac and cheese, and the ananas on the head cake. the prices were high for the meal total, but this is expected on maui, and they will definitely pay for location/views. they also serve a decent complete breakfast, a kind of diner style farewell as French toast and omelets. again not cheap, but also, this view: we have a huge panorama of the rainbow through our meal, then enjoyed a walk in the flower garden. the service was attentive and friendly. in total, it is particularly convenient on the way to or from the haleakala national park.

If they don't think they can make it haleakala for the sunset, then the look at the lodge will give them a beautiful replacement while they have a wonderful 5-star dinner.

Eating was excellent. my steak was slightly overcooked, but was still tasty. I'm picky at the time of my meal. this was our last stop for restaurants for dinner and our failure could have been that we compared it with all the others we had. most places of the time we order within 30 minutes, our eating was already out. the service was very sub par. our server seemed very uninterested in us as soon as we did not order any drinks and apps. often the water went without refilling, never came to ask us how our food was (because it was incapable to advise them from overcooked steak), only to ask if they could clean our teller or get us a box while we still eat visible. that was great.
