The Pie Shop - Kumeu

This restaurant has some of the best cakes in New Zealand. The cakes are big, hearty, and absolutely delicious. My friend and I stopped here on the way back from surfing and it was the perfect treat. If you're a carnivore, the steak here is out of this world. And for my vegetarian (and non-vegetarian) friends, the maverick dish is a must-try. This place is legendary and I haven't heard anyone say otherwise.

This restaurant serves the best cake ever. I will definitely be coming back for more next week, it's totally worth it. The Maverick Pie is the vegetarian option and tastes delicious, like a savory treat in cake form. The crust was perfectly crispy. It may cost $6, but it is definitely worth it. The sweet homestead pier is a delightful mix of tangy and sweet flavors.
