Great place for lunch when the temple bounces on the way of philosophy. Expect a wait, but it moves reasonably fast. The staff is very friendly, and although limited English, they offer an English menu with pictures. The noodles had both great texture and taste sigh a broth to warn you from the late autumn chill out.
Cosy, small family restaurant. Very friendly and friendly staff. Perhaps the best Curry Udon I ever tasted in my whole life! You wait for almost an hour in the cold. The noodles are very chewing and tasty, meat was fresh and juicy and the curry sauce was so good that I cleaned the whole bowl. Try to make sure you're in the area!
The best curry I ever had. Long line, but worth waiting. Great stop for lunch between Nanzenji and all other temples further north along the Philosophenweg. English menu available and easy to order without knowing Japanese.
The best udon I’ve ever had in my life. We walked in and noticed that there were a lot of locals, so we know it’s not a tourist trap restaurant. We ordered the shrimp pot udon and the beef/tofu curry udon. They are known for the curry udon and it was delicious! It’s not too heavy or thick where you’ll get sick of it and we mixed the soup with rice after eating the noodles. The shrimp tempura udon is deep in flavor and is for those who enjoy a typical udon bowl. I highly recommend this place!
