Lagrange Park Watering Hole

This cinema has been a staple in the community for many years. It has been beautifully renovated and will soon be expanding to showcase new and recently released films. I visited on a discounted Tuesday night when tickets were just $5, but even on other nights, the ticket prices are still quite reasonable. Upon entering, you definitely get a nostalgic vibe reminiscent of old-school movie theaters, thanks to the charming decor. Concession prices are also fair, offering the usual snacks like popcorn, nachos, candy, soda, ICEEs, and a selection of alcoholic beverages. The theater seats are in great condition; they recline and even feature heated options for those who enjoy a little warmth. The staff does an excellent job of keeping the theater clean and well-maintained. Parking options include street parking, a lot about half a block away, or a garage directly across the street. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot to spend an evening or afternoon watching a movie, followed by a stroll around the downtown area.

Purchasing tickets online comes with a significant fee that you only find out about after completing your purchase, which is definitely a downside! This applies even to rewards members. Additionally, the staff selling snacks do not ask for your rewards card, so you have to remember to bring it for each purchase. On the plus side, the seats are comfortable and the theater is clean.

In terms of dining, there are various food options in the downtown area. The theater itself was nice, and I noticed the staff actively cleaning. However, the bathrooms could use a bit more attention. I believe the theater recently underwent renovations. When we entered for our movie, all the recliner seats were new and very comfortable, with options to recline and even a heat setting. Overall, I would definitely return to this theater.

The staff at the concession stand were friendly and helpful, providing the standard selection of candy and soft drinks. The popcorn was fresh and tasty, and the prices were reasonable. With multiple screens, the auditoriums are equipped with recliners that have heating features for added comfort. The theater was clean, and staff made sure to tidy up after each screening. Plus, there's free parking available in the LaGrange Municipal Lot, just a short walk away.

I absolutely love this charming theater! There's plenty of parking available next to it, and the seats are incredibly comfortable. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the heating feature in the seats—I didn't think I would like it at all! This place is fantastic, and I highly recommend it to everyone!
