Espace Baratte - La Malbaie

This restaurant is incredibly cozy and it is recommended to make a reservation in advance. The menu features simple but delicious tapas, such as sausages that were some of the best we've ever had and tacos with a meat filling that was exceptional. The beer and wine selection may be limited, but it is well curated. Our favorite was the blond beer from Charlevoix Brasserie in Baie St. Paul. Considering the beautiful harbor view, excellent service, tasty food, and affordable prices, Espace Baratte definitely deserves a top rating.

We were looking for a light meal and decided to try out Espace Barette based on the reviews. The restaurant is located on a quiet street with a lovely view of the water. The menu is small but offers a good variety of options, and we both enjoyed our meals. The staff was very understanding and accommodating of our limited French speaking skills. There is also a great antique store upstairs for those interested. We would definitely recommend Espace Barette for a meal by the river before or after exploring.

We discovered this restaurant located at the base of the hill near our Fairmont hotel. The food was superb - the tapas were amazing - and the staff was incredibly friendly and hospitable. We are from Florida and primarily English speakers. Unlike other restaurants we visited where communication was a challenge, they made an effort to talk to us. It was a fantastic experience! We highly recommend seeking out this gem!

We left tomorrow and found this jewel today! Great view, very good food for reasonable prices, good beer and super cozy terrace! Don't leave it until the end of your holiday, as we did, but I'm sure we're back for... another holiday in this beautiful area!
