Our Place Restaurant - La Scie

Good fish and chips as well as friendly service. It is a nice dining room with comfortable seating. The washrooms are clean.

Not a lot of dining choices here but we only stopped for coffee and snacks. Our waitress was interesting and the only person in Newfoundland who told us she was anxious to head to Alberta in 2 years. The norm is the reverse situation.

We stopped in for lunch on our iceberg tour the food was good and the hospitality great. Server was very nice.

Seems most restaurants in the Newfoundland countryside carry the same menu. Food was simple but good, the restaurant was clean. Not licensed though.

We came here for breakfast because we couldn't get in to the Tea Room! Glad we found it because the breakfast was good and hearty. The ham and cheese omelette came with toast and hash browns. The omelette was a bit different from ones I'm familiar with...it looked like it was cooked on one side then flipped and cooked on the other side, so it was kinda flat, good though. No complaints. Staff was friendly and service was good and prompt.
