OUR FAVORITE PLACE TO DINE WHEN IN MAUI. Whats not to love. Gorgeous ambiance and views. Wonderful servers. Tasty food. A meal in paradise not to be missed.

Great restraunt with good eats. Not the upscale diligent service we would expect from a top rated resteraunt. Food was delicious!

Was there 5 years ago and couldn't wait to return again. the food wasn't the same. ordered ahi tuna steak- it was cooked well done. not what I would have imagined. service was not great either. had waitress try to take my glass of wine while some wine was still in it. when I pay 20 for a glass of wine, I want to drink the entire glass. same thing with my remaining tuna steak, my husband wanted to eat it and the waitress tried to clear it away. very disappointed ... especially for the money.

This was our second time at Japengo. Sadly we had a poor experience. We were seated 15 min after our reservation at a table of 6 even though we were 3 ppl. Additionally we were seated right next to a loud server station even though there were smaller tables available that were in a much nicer area of restaurant. The sushi was just ok but not great and not worth the price we paid. Probably will not return.
