Would I pay $36 daily for this? Not in a million years. The food is ok but it isn't anything dramatically better than a typical hotel buffet(at least considering the cost). The fruit is fantastic and the baked goods were a hit. I found the bread pudding to also be good.Coffee was bitter, eggs very dry. Bacon could either be almost burned or super soft and almost undercooked.I feel like if I'm basing this off my cost(essentially $24+ tip) I'd give it a 4, but since not everyone will get free breakfast I'm rating it off a assumed cost of $36. At that point I'd I have to give it a 2 star rating.
Awesome breakfast buffet with the best staff ever! Everyone is super friendly and are always checking on you to make sure you are happy. The buffet is always stocked with plenty of fresh fruits, pastries and breakfast items.
I was disappointed that every breakfast protein was pork since I do not eat pork. Not other options. No poultry or smoked salmon for example. The eggs were steam table eggs. No made to order station. The steam tables eggs were very wet with what I assume was pooling condensation. Other breakfast options were very limited. No bagels only bread for example. Pastries were not replaced so our 10 am breakfast was only what was left by then. Generally unhappy meal.
The buffet had a lot of options to choose from. The Ube Pancakes were absolutely delicious and a generous portion
While it might seem pricey to get the buffet, we found that compared to many other resorts in Hawaii, it is more than reasonable. And they have a nice variety of food options. Everything we ate there tasted amazing. The view is gorgeous and the staff are friendly and attentive.
