You might raise an eyebrow at the 24.99 price tag, but trust me, it’s like a flavor explosion in your mouth. The pork? Tender enough to make you question if they’ve been training pigs in martial arts. And the food? Faster than a ninja – 10 minutes, you’re in rice noodle paradise! This spot is Lake Tekapo’s best kept secret. Everyone needs to experience this flavour fiesta. Next on my hit list? Braised Beef Rice Noodles in Soup. The chef’s rice noodle sorcery is real who knew rice noodles could be this enchanting.
Great food! Needed a refuel after a hike and the noodle soup dishes really hit the spot. Braised beef and pork belly were both really good and hearty. Portion sizes were decent too
Awesome, can't resist the smell of beef noodle from outside so I had to come in. Ordered A1 (braised beef rice noodle soup as recommended by their staff. The broth is nice and flavourful and portion of beef is generous. Paid 24$ for the noodle but portion is good. Will recommend dropping by if you crave some Chinese noodle soup :
I think you mean Lake Tekapo Noodle Cafe. This place is clearly under new management and is no longer a bakery cafe. The sign outside still says Doughboys but inside it’s Lake Tekapo Noodle Cafe. Naming aside, their noodles are actually pretty good, the braised beef noodles look bland but taste on point. They still have your standard takeaway shop menu of burgers and chips but they definitely specialise in noodles now.
Ordered beef and pork noodle bowl. Rice noodle tastes great while the beef/pork is a bit dry and though. Overall i would reckon a hot bowl of noodle after half day hiking
