Best Italian - Lakehurst

We went to this restaurant on recommendation. the food was excellent. my man had the garnel and scallop special, and I had penne wodka with a side of meatball. both were delicious. we had the seafood salad as an appetizer. also very good. the scallops that were wrapped in speck were just that. good, but nothing special. suppe or salat is included with the entree. we both ordered the pasta fagioli. they give them a big part and it was very delicious. I'll go back in any case. I watched how server dinners brought to others and all the food looked very good. I recommend this place. Make sure that there is a fee of 3% if they use a credit card, but that would not go from there and a delicious meal.

Good food but charged me 3% fee for using a credit card. This practice is lawful if clearly displayed at the register and stated CREDIT CARD CHARGE on the receipt. This was not displayed at front, register, or dining room. It was not detailed on the receipt only an additional charge with no explanation or Although legal I will not deal with a business so petty IN FACT I USED A DEBIT CARD. IT IS ILLEGAL TO CHARGE A FEE ON A DEBIT CARD. STATE BANKING LAW and MASTERCARD US AGREEMENT WITH ALL VENDORS. Mentioned to waitress who could care less.

Before I went to this establishment I decided to look online at their menu. I was told prices tend to be on the high side however the menu prices are very reasonable. When you sit down at the table the menu they show you is not what is o their website. All of the entrees are roughly $5.00 more than what you are expecting. The portion size is generous and the other two people I was with brought home roughly 1/2 of their portion so I guess you can get two meals out of an order. Everyone enjoyed their food and would go back. As another reviewer said, the lasagna was noodles and meat (unable to find any ricotta or other cheese inside it).

This place makes some of the best food around. It's always fresh and delicious. They prepare the food in a timely manner also.

Since civic 19, we are offering take out twice a week food very good the same quality and quantity we would receive when dining in.
