Freshly prepared food, generous portion sizes, and excellent service make this restaurant a must-visit for anyone in Grasmere.

Overall, it was a good and classic dining experience. I enjoyed a well-cooked sirloin steak with chips, salad, and delicious onion rings. The dessert was hearty and satisfying. The beer was great, but the Rioja wine did not stand out. The only downside was a confusing billing system that forced one person to foot the bill for the entire group. Additionally, the singer that started performing towards the end of our meal had to lower the volume of her music due to complaints from our group about being able to talk comfortably.

Fantastic eating and excellent service. large menu choice and small selection wine card. simple, but very effective. the special chef (stein) was excellent.

Visited this restaurant with family (5 adults) for dinner on the 25th February 2022 and we are so glad we did... it was a fantastic meal.The food was outstanding and the service was also great.To be honest the prices were great..and possibly too low for the quality of food that we were served.We can't recommend this restaurant enough...and we will most certainly be going back during our week in Grasmere.Give it a try if you're in Grasmere...you won't be disappointed.

The food at this restaurant is fantastic, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. I will definitely be coming back again.
