Ocean Basket Westlake - Lakeside

Ocean Basket is Ocean Basket a family favorite and known for what they promise, fresh, well prepared seafood. <br/ <br/ The Westlake branch is no different and definitely delivers in all aspects. The bonus is that, the ambiance is one of the best that I’ve experienced. Situated in Westlake, lifestyle center, the ocean Basket is a quiet, serene one and the service is superb. <br/ <br/ The food is exceptionally fresh. I had the prawn and fish combo. My prawns were delicious with generous servings of lemon garlic butter sauce and my fish was fried to perfection. The chips were a bit stale though. <br/ <br/ Furthermore, they are situated right next to a Col’Cacchio so if fish isn’t really your thing, they are more than willing to accommodate you by having the option to order from Col’Cacchio while you sit at Ocean Basket. It’s a win win situation. <br/ <br/ There is also an extensive playground for the kids, which means the whole family is catered for. <br/ <br/ Will definitely be back again soon, and hopefully take pics of my food this time round!

Ocean’s Basket remains one of my favourite eatery in South Africa. Their menu and quality of food is very good and so are their prices: very competitive. However, the food this time round was not up to their usual standards and the seafood was barely warm as if it was left a long time on the serving counter before being taken to our table. Other than that, we found their sushi to be of an excellent quality and the service received was friendly and attentive. I would also like to commend our waitress, Samantha, for having gone out of her way to ensure everything was in order. All in all a good dining experience

Happy Birthday To MeSo with being parents you can't just go anywhere to celebrate your Birthday so you go to family kid friendly restaurants. I'm pretty sure that the kids enjoy the play area more than anything else.Their food is great, this particular branch has never let us down. Their service is average (some waiters really do try) and the food does take a while to come... I've surpassed the irritation and these days have more time to chat to Hubbles and catch up on our day before we start eating.Guess the long wait doesn't have that negative effect on me anymore

I ate here last night and the food was amazing. I had a sushi starter and the sushi was extremely fresh and so good. However, I wasn't impressed that the sushi wasn't all the same size. But nevertheless it was good. My parents had the Halloumi cheese starter and it was my first time trying it and I really enjoyed it. However, because I am a person that enjoys really spicy and strong food, I would've preferred the cheese to be a bit strong. But it was still good. My parents and I all had the platter for one and everything was cooked to perfection, I was really impressed. It was perfect. The waiting time was slightly long but not too long though. And the vibe is really nice with the park outside for the kids.

Enjoyed magnificent 11/10 meal tonight .... Food unbelievably hot, well prepared and tasty . Service by Vusi exemplary Compliments to Management !
