The food at the restaurant and the drinks at the bar have to be paid separately but you can eat and drink in either section of the establishment. The staff was very friendly and helped me pick out some delicious prawns and spicy fried vegetable rice that hit the spot. The price and quantity of food matched well and doesn’t break the bank. Definitely recommend stopping by this restaurant.
Located just a few minutes from Waterloo Station, this hidden gem is nestled in the back of a charming English pub on the picturesque Roupell Street. The Thai cuisine here is the best I've had outside of Thailand! The cozy restaurant features scrubbed wooden tables and tin plates, serving up exquisite dishes.
I stopped by for a drink and takeout, as I have been doing for a few years. Lately, I have noticed that the portion sizes are shrinking. This Thai restaurant is not the most affordable, so I would expect larger portions for the price. I have since discovered another similar restaurant across the river that is slightly more expensive, but just as good as Kanchanas and much more generous with their portions.
We had lunch at this restaurant shortly after arriving at Waterloo. We opted for the vegetable Penang curry and chicken green Thai curry for a quick meal. The staff was able to adjust the spice level in the green curry for us. Both dishes were delicious and the service was impeccable as usual.
Good food well made. Very tasty. And reasonably price. Does get busy with the pub at the front..the kings Arms. Ales there are great too Thank you
