Restaurant Bourdeau - Lancaster

Lancaster is our refueling stop before Quebec as it's the last exit for Ontario's cheaper gas, so I've seen this restaurant quite a few times and it's been on my to do list but it's always been very busy. Anyways, it wasn't on this day so we made the stop for lunch here. Inside doesn't disappoint it's a classic diner style. The menu though is not a typical diner's, it has lots of choices from Perch Rolls to Poutine and Greek Wraps. I'm sure anyone will find something to chose from here. And they have all day breakfast too! This is one of those places that you order at the counter and they bring it to you. We ordered the Sunny Breakfast and the Smoked Meat Club. They were ready fairly quickly despite them still being busy. Everything was great, fresh and tasty. Really enjoyed the Smoked Meat Club. Would definitely stop here again, highly recommend.

This is the best poutine I have ever had! I have tried poutine from all over Ontario and Quebec, but this one beats them all. I come all the way from West Ottawa just to indulge in this delicious dish. I even find myself craving it and making the trip to Lancaster On. The staff is incredibly friendly and goes above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need. Thank you to everyone for the great service.

The owners at Bourdeau Restaurant are incredibly kind and their food is delicious! We were driving from Toronto and wanted our poutine and hotdog fix as we are originally from Montreal. We were driving in a snow storm and called ahead to place our order knowing we would be there close to closing. The storm worsened and we kept calling to let them know we wouldn’t be on time but they insisted we come and the would stay as long as it took. We ended up being an hour late and sure enough they greeted us at the door with freshly cooked food and even invited us to stay and eat! Amazing people! Incredible food! Highly recommend!

It was just by chance that my husband and I stumbled across this fun place. Not a fancy place by any means, but it fills the stomach with good, honest home-style meals. We sat at a table right across from the cooking area, so you could hear them talking; they joked around a lot but also engaged us in the conversation. The staff was friendly and served us within a reasonable amount of time. Let's face it all or most places are short-staffed on weekends. Since I have worked in the fast-food industry this year I get it. We both ordered the Classic Club house which came with fries and coleslaw. When the sandwiches arrived, they were HUGE. The Chicken or turkey was not deli-sliced but ROASTED BIRD and a CHUNK OF MEAT!! My husband had no problem finishing his off except for a few fries, but I had to ask for a take-out box for my quarter that was left. My midnight snack!! If we ever have to travel to Montreal or go that way again, we know where we are stopping. Hopefully next time it will be for breakfast.
