It was around half full when we arrived, all the other customers were drinkers, at tables awash with whatever had been spilled. We went to the other side of the room but didn't order food, the tables were filthy and I couldn't face it.
There are not many places to eat in Morecambe and it was quite busy in here but we managed to find a table. I wished we had not bothered as the food was very average and the chips looked like they had been around for some time, whereas my chicken breast had bacon on it that looked like it had barely been cooked. I ate as much as I could stomach which was not a lot and left the rest. Ok to come here for a drink but the food was very average.
This is one of my regular ports of call when on holiday in Morecambe. It’s everything one comes to expect from a Wetherspoons pub. The food was good and the bar staff very friendly. Good range of regional real ales on pump.
Three of us all had fish and chips. The batter was dark brown, fish was over cooked, and the mushy peas had stuck together. Won’t be going back.
We found a lovely table by the fire downstairs. We ordered our drinks through the app, which said a wait of 5 minutes. After 15 minutes my partner got up to find them on a tray, which he brought back to the table. Shortly after we ordered drinks and food. My wine arrived in a gin glass, the glass wasn't an issue but the wine was drowned in lemonade. I stopped a staff member in a black shirt with lots of colour over it, he totally understood my complaint. Thank you for my glass of wine not drowned in lemonade. Our food was lovely and arrived promptly. Unfortunately, my partner had to get up again and find them, I also watched the table in front of us collecting their own drinks! Lovely staff, clean environment just long waiting time.
