The Ivy Lea Club - Lansdowne

The Ivy used to be a beloved restaurant for my family, but not anymore. The new menu is pricey for average food, and the service during our lunch was awful. There were no sharing options on the lunch menu except for a $95 seafood tower. We only visited for the house-made ice cream in the coach house, but it was nothing special. Long-time customers like us are very disappointed and likely won't return. Hopefully, things will improve in the future. I'm giving it 2 stars solely for the view.

Our family has always been big fans of Olivea and Riva. We were thrilled to discover that the owners had acquired another one of our favorite restaurants, especially because of its location and atmosphere. However, we were ultimately disappointed with our experience. The new menu is very limited and while the food was good, the dessert options were lacking. Additionally, my father had drinks spilled on him by the wait staff (although we understand accidents happen), but we were not offered any compensation. We had a large party, ordered two bottles of wine, and felt that some sort of gesture should have been made to acknowledge the inconvenience. We hope that the restaurant will reconsider their menu offerings and introduce more variety to enhance the overall dining experience.

I had a lovely time at this restaurant during their Saturday brunch. The atmosphere was beautiful and the experience was great. Although the restaurant is not open regularly, I hope they continue to host these events in the future. The brunch buffet had delicious offerings and I also learned that they offer a fixed-price table d'hôte lunch on Friday evenings. I would recommend both options for special occasions.

I had booked an appointment with the fitness center as a test to check the club. I came at 0845 according to request and no one was to greet me. the one person, in the rather small club, had no idea. if you are considering saving $500 per year for a membership, you would expect and appreciate a better customer service. a big boo of this guy.
