I have a croque Madame Crepe and it could feed two people! And the best part... my crepe was GLUTEN-FREE! Gluten-free options to find in Lapeer County is difficult. Last night I called every restaurant in Lapeer and could not find that had gluten-free. So to find out that Chef G’s this option makes me SO HAPPY
Had a great lunch here today! We love crepes and we were not disappointed. I had the Dijon- with gluten free crepe and no mushrooms. Hubby had it as is. We both thought it was delicious. Our son had the Sweet n Salty Panini- basically pb&j&ripples potato chips on a panini bread. I asked for them to skip the grilling. He loved it. Overall, it was clean (my son said ooo! This is a pretty bathroom! , quick service, interesting decor and tasty food. A+
I have never had a bad meal at Chef G's. This is the perfect spot downtown Lapeer to meet with a friend for coffee and breakfast. I recommend getting there a little earlier to make sure you get a table, but if you have to wait to sit down it's worth it. The hot chai is yummy, I think the Apple crepes are my new favorite. The recipes are creative, and I love that they offer vegetarian options as well.
Great food and great atmosphere, too… and super-nice people working there, which of course makes all the difference! We at the Rotary Club of Lapeer love meeting here every Tuesday.
The food was good!! ??(Had a Turkey/Cranberry Waffle Sandwich a Choose-Your-Own Fresh Raspberry, Sweet Cream Crepe)The Berry Green smoothie was deplorable!! ?The decorative aesthetics were less than desirable too, given the 'gourmet ' influence observed on the menu. Personally, I would love to have enjoyed a more upscale, boutique-style design flair, given the gourmet food/pricing. And attractive design does not have to cost a lot of money!! But I 'm guessing they 're doing the best they can with the limited design skills they possess. (Their real giftings are behind the griddle). ?Thusly, because it wasn 't cute enough for my tastes, I 'm not likely to drive an hour to visit a second time, or tell any of my girlfriends about it, but I definitely enjoyed the one meal (Saturday, 2/12). ?
