Chez Vignau - Laruns

5 of us stayed here while we went the GR10. The food was excellent, after a hard day on foot they offered us a meal that was both considerable, interesting and delicious. Breakfast the next morning continued the theme. The picnic was the best we had the two weeks we were walking and no other came near the quality of Chez Vignau. The rooms over a not very busy street were OK, quite compact for more than one night. We were happy that the weather so that we sit outside the room and our mail go panaché

Chez Vignau is both hotel and restaurant. We were there as a basis for our hike to the Lacs d’Ayous. The hiking trail at Lac de Bious-Artigues is just 4 km from Gabas and from there the trails radiate into the highlands of Pic du Midi d’Osau. The GR 10 path also leads through the village. We enjoyed a warm welcome and good service, and we loved our room opposite the valley. We had a delicious dinner in the rustic dining room, with an excellent, hearty garbure as a starter.

The meal served a little too early (at 9pm everything was swept, the tables raised for the breakfast) but excellent! the rooms without soundproofing, the very damaged bathrooms are to be renovated

Decoration, food, reception, service excels at all points for a quiet stop. A place to be recommended, plus prices are reasonable.

The hotel itself is simple but correct especially when you make the gr 10. The top of the top is the garbage. It's the best I ate and gods I ate.
