As soon as our waiter saw that we were not ordering drinks and we were splitting a meal, he literally deserted us!!! He put our order in and we did not see him again until he brought us our bill! We had cocktails at one of the other bars in the Resort so when we got to the restaurant we opted not to have drinks with our meal. We had also had a late lunch so we weren't super hungry and splitting a meal was a good option for us. We had the cucumber salad, Wagyu Gyoza and the Okinawa Sweet Potato. The cucumber salad was fresh and crispy with refreshing tanginess, the Wagyu dumplings were cooked perfectly and had a wonderful flavor and the Okinawa Sweet potato was so good. The big disappointment for us was how we were treated by the waiter. He was arrogant and seemed annoyed with us. Its sad that he couldn't see that if he had been kind, engaging or even attentive we would have tipped him as if we had eaten much more! Even sadder was that our meal was not cheap. For an appetizer, 5 dumplings and a sweet potato we spent more than we would have with 1 meal. Even though the food was good we would not eat here again because of the service. Customer service can be the make or break of a restaurant and with employees such as this waiter, we can see why this restaurant has a low rating.
This is our second time visited Kusa Nori and finally I got a chance to write the review.Food : Awesome,Fresh and always serve hot! My husband got a beef on on a hot sizzling plate (I can’t remember the name but just tell that to the server they’ll know what are you talking about) that plate come with Shishito peppers and oyster mushrooms. It was sooooo good. The sauce was perfectly balance between salty and sweet.I got a rolls called 3000 Blvd and it was good and fresh.Another one was my all time favorite “Sashimi salad” this is my second time order this dish and still not disappointed.Service : Awesome from the host.Greeting with smile and quick. Our server was great and always come back and check on us,He was great when we tried to order our food but we had like 10,000 questions which he can answer them all!Vibe : It’s nice and cozy.It might be a little bit noisy when they start cooking teppanyaki but it doesn’t last that long,So over all it’s great! This is our second time and guess what?! Third fourth fifth will be happening for sure!
Louis was so fun and we enjoyed the experience this restaurant gave us. The food was even better and fresh! The steak was out of this world. Sushi was amazing! Thank you!Dietary restrictions: Soy, egg
We had a wonderful meal from start to finish. We were only able to get a reservation fairly early but that worked out well for us. We had great service. Very attentive. The food was amazing. The waygu beef gyoza is the best we've ever had. We had the cucumber salad which was also great. I highly recommend the sweet potato Okinawa side dish. I can't say anything bad about any of the items we had. It was all 5 star. It was a quiet, elegant atmosphere and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals
Came here while staying at the Conrad prior to watching Luke Bryan. We were lucky enough to be here for happy hour.We shared Wagyu gyoza, various sushi and oysters. All of these I would recommend. Don't skip over this spot when staying.
